January 29, 2008Accepted, Round 1So I'm relocating from my apartment. After three years, my roomate and I have decided it's time for a change. She basically said that she was demanding the change. It's probably been a little while coming and I've been talking about it amongst friends for awhile, but it's on me to find something new. I haven't ruled anything out, except I have ruled out certian neighborhoods. It's time to move downtown, but I don't care if it's another share or if it's a studio as long as it doesn't break the bank. All this searching makes me realize why I never followed through with moving out before. It's hard work! With a vacancy rate that hovers around 1%, it's act fast or move out of the way because someone else will snatch that "won't last" special deal minutes after you leave the viewing. I have sent a few messages to people looking for roomates and then eagerly check my email to see if they responded. Granted even if I get accepted to swing by to view the place and the roomates (which is really a mutual interview), there's no guarantee that I'll make it past round 1. "Did they call?" "Did they email" Even worse then trying to will a guy to call me up for a date. How did I ever find this place in a mere 2 weeks?

January 01, 2008Re-re-resoluteDid you make any? I did and low and behold, they are pretty similar to last year. I would have to say I was able to get in shape in 2007, so 2008 will be all about getting out of debt and even stock piling some dough. Hope everyone had a safe holiday and have a great 2008!
