A little shut eye

I love napping. An afternoon nap on the weekends is a lovely way to pass a half hour. These past few days, though, I have stocked up enough "naps" for a whole year. I got slammed Sunday night with something like the flu and even the thought of getting out of bed was exhausting enough to require a nap.

I have a horrible guilt for not going to work (excuse 'mental health days') so after taking Monday off I got up with the intention to go in yesterday. I wasn't sure until the very last minute if I was going or staying but I decided to go. What is normally an easy commute seemed to wipe all the life out of me. I probably would have turned right around but the thought of going through that again so quickly was enough to keep me there (until 2:30 when I worked up the strength to hightail it home).

After my roomate's pleading to go to the doctor (probably in fear of her own health), I went and got some meds. I even had a fever of between 101 and 102 (she took it three times), which may shed light on some of those dilliusional dreams I was having during those many naps.

I'm happy to say I'm on the road to recovery where the thought of going to the fridge for water doesn't require a 30 minute lead time. Looks like I'll be back at work tommorow.
