Upside Down Smiles

Ok, I think I'm starting to develop a complex. In my travels around the city of Hartford (can we really call it a city?) doing little errands like picking up pictures or getting lunch or something silly, I have had a peculiar event occur multiple times this month alone. So I'm walking along, minding my own business, thinking about whatever and someone walking the other direction will look at me and say "smile."

Am I not smiling?; because I tend to think of myself as someone who smiles quite a bit. Or if I am not smiling while I'm walking, is that really such a bad thing? Should we walk around with permanent smiles on our faces so then people would either say "stop smiling" or look at me like a derranged lunatic? I mean for real, who can smile all the time?

Did you ever try to figure out if your everday mouth position is a smile or a frown, but when you try to figure it out all you can do is crack up laughing? I still don't know if my everyday face is a smile or a frown, but I feel a smirk coming on right now. Maybe I need to run outside so I can smile for the wierdos.
